Junior/Mid QA Engineer
Split & Zagreb, Croatia
We’re looking for a Junior/Mid QA Engineer to join our team! You would be working closely with our software engineers to ensure quality output for one of our Canadian clients. You are an ideal candidate if you are a strong team player who takes ownership of your work, you elevate yourself by elevating others and you believe new technologies are new ways to solve problems.
Our new Junior team member is someone who:
- Has attention to detail
- Is fluent in English, written and spoken
- Has excellent communication skills
- Is self-organized
- Is highly accountable and responsible
Our new Mid team member is someone who:
- Has at least two years of work experience with manual testing
- Has knowledge of testing methodologies, tools and processes
- Has attention to detail
- Is highly proficient in spoken and written English
- Has experience with Jira
- Has excellent communication skills
- Is self-organised, highly accountable and responsible
- Shows willingness to actively share knowledge and insights with team members
Bonus points will be given if you:
- Have a relevant degree, BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar is preferred
- Have experience with automated testing (Selenium, Cypress etc.)
Your main responsibilities will consist of:
- Writing reports describing how to replicate found bugs
- Testing features expected to reach live applications
- Updating the product team about test results
- Performing specific tasks using either provided or self-made testing scripts
- Communicating with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Helping us improve and expand testing tools
- Performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved or new features made
- Suggesting solutions to identified product problems
- Writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities
