Introduction
Wine rating and discovery
Vinify began in 2021 as a simple app for rating and saving wines at wine tastings.
The app quickly became popular in Norwegian wine circles and it was made available to anyone by popular demand.
Soon after release Vinify became a serious startup with the first upgrade: adding virtual wine cellars for displaying wine collections. This first full Vinify iteration was a wine discovery and rating platform for wine enthusiasts

Pivot into B2B
Within just a few months of adding cellars, Vinify was the #1 most downloaded app on the Norwegian Appstore.
When viewing a wine, the platform also displayed locations where they are available for purchase. Businesses created profiles and uploaded wine lists, using Vinify as a marketing channel.
Potential was recognized to turn Vinify into a powerful tool for wine businesses.

Solution
Scale the platform with Profico’s help
Vinify identified two major ways to bring value to businesses: enable them to easily perform powerful sales analytics and cut down operational man-hours with inventory management automations.
In close collaboration, we helped Vinify define, create, and implement these new features.
The pivot proved to be a success, but work is not done. Since first release in 2021, Vinify and Profico continue to collaborate and continually enhance functionality of the platform.
